Maladaptive patterns of behavior are behaviors that are not serving us. They may have had some negative consequences in our life. These negative consequences can manifest in a multitude of ways. They can impact our mental health, causing signs and symptoms of depression or anxiety, physical health, relational issues, maybe with parents or a partner.
However these behavior has interfered, you have become aware that you want to make a change. Awareness if the first step to change and change can be hard!! There are some important elements that we need to implement into our everyday lives if we want to be successful with our shift in behaviors.
One of those keys to success is routine! Building a daily schedule. By laying out our day, we are occupying our minds with healthier patterns of behavior. Planning our day can also help us be mindful of how we are spending our time. We are also gaining a sense of control back into our lives.
Write it down to help! Remember, you are in charge of your schedule and the possibilities of how you spend your time are endless. However you chose to spend your day can catalyst a change that you have always wanted in your life.
